Preparing for college? We're here to help! First Citizens' has partnered with Banzai! to create a financial education center that can help you get ready.

One of the most useful tools is Cost of College, a whimsical take on a traditional expense list that walks students through a virtual journey through the major expenses associated with higher education. This course and other resources on our financial education center are built with sophisticated and powerful data sets from the National Center for Education Statistics, meaning it can help students estimate everything from expected fees to the average cost of their school’s meal plan.

First Citizens' has annually awarded scholarships to graduating high school students in our local areas for 30 years. Three recipients are chosen for a $5,000 First Citizens' Charitable Foundation Scholarship and one recipient is chosen for a $1,000 Barbara Whitehead-Silva Scholarship.

First Citizens' Charitable Foundation Scholarships are available for application from January to April of each year.
